  • JOB DESCRIPTION:

    As a Construction Project Manager, you will work closely with company leadership, architects, and engineers to effectively plan, coordinate and oversee the project delivery process.

    We are looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager capable of planning and supervising a wide range of construction projects from start to finish. You will coordinate and oversee construction procedures and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner.  The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate a proven record of strong leadership, excellent communication skills, knowledgeable of building and positive subcontractor relations. Currently, WJC only operates in the Tampa Bay area, with a majority of work in in Pinellas County.

     

    PRIMARY DUTIES:

    • Maintain effective relationships and partnerships with customers, management, design team subcontractors, and field staff.

    • Read, comprehend and implement project drawings and specifications to insure design intent is maintained.

    • Estimating, bid and proposal preparation.

    • Prepare and track Project Schedules and Submittals.

    • Selection, Negotiation and Management of subcontractors and material vendors.

    • Direct and coordinate project teams, including Superintendent and Design team.

    • Tracking of costs and preparation of project cost reports.

    • Recognition of change orders and preparation of required documentation.

    • Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities

    • Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met

    • Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports

    • Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues

    • Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects.

     

    SKILLS & ABILITIES

    • Ability to coordinate diverse activities, set timelines, budgets and specifications.

    • Ability to Read, Interpret and understand Architectural Drawings and specification documents

    • Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards.

    • Exceptional time management and Scheduling experience

    • Ability to use computer software and applications, to share, retrieve, research and present business information. Experience with Procore preferred.

    • Ability to analyze and interpret data, and to identify relevant issues in solving problems.

    • Working knowledge of contract administration, federal, state and local regulations.

     

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • BS degree in construction management, architecture or related field.

    • Proven working experience as a construction project manager

    • Cost Estimating or Design Experience.

POSITION:

Asst. Construction Project Manager (Entry Level)

DESCRIPTION:

Join our dynamic team as an Entry-Level Assistant Construction Project Manager, where you'll play a pivotal role in supporting Project Managers and Superintendents to ensure the successful completion of our projects. As an Assistant Project Manager, you'll dive into managing project financials, risk mitigation, subcontractor coordination, and fostering positive client relationships.


While prior experience as a Construction Project Manager isn't mandatory, we're seeking candidates with either a degree in Construction Management or a related field, or those with relevant experience in Construction/Project Management. We prioritize candidates with the appropriate skillsets who are eager to learn and grow, with the ultimate ambition of advancing to the role of Project Manager.


The ideal candidate will possess outstanding organizational and communication skills, coupled with a sharp attention to detail and a fundamental understanding of construction processes. If you take pride in executing tasks with precision and integrity, this opportunity is tailor-made for you.
